I’m Kathy Hoyer, a Feng Shui Consultant based in Amsterdam, providing consultations, coaching, and design services to people worldwide. Helping them
create optimal energy in their spaces and lives.
I work with ex-pats who want to imbue a rental space with their unique energy creating a home that feels personal and supportive of their needs.
I help clients transform their homes into short-term rentals that deliver what guests seek; welcoming comfortable spaces with a unique energy. I have been a 5 -star super host on Airbnb for eight years; I know what is needed for success.
I incorporate classic Feng Shui Form School principles with a contemporary artistic ascetic. There are definite rules but many ways to work with them. When your environment is balanced and harmonious your clarity and focus increase, you feel less stress, and happier in a busy life.

About Me
I’ve worked as a Feng Shui consultant in Europe and the USA since 1995. The heart of my practice is a passion for creating balance and clarity in my client’s environments. My approach is a blend of methods from the oldest and newest schools of Feng Shui and my artistic skills and experience.
I am a professional artist with an MFA and an established career that has spanned 40 years and two continents. I’ve employed Feng Shui on numerous award-winning public art and urban design projects, which has trained me in creatively applying Feng Shui to many different environments and situations.
I divide my life between Amsterdam, NL, and Arizona, USA. Moving between these different places gives me deeper insight into how our environment effects us.
What is Feng Shui and how does it work?
Feng (wind) Shui (water) is the practice of balancing the Energy of an environment; in China, it is known as ‘The Art Of Placement.’ Energy or Chi is the invisible force that connects everything throughout the Universe. When Chi is balanced and flows correctly in our space, harmony and well-being naturally arise, and we feel happy, energized, and focused.
With Feng Shui, we assess the quality of Chi through ancient principles that govern its flow in an environment. Adjustments or changes are made to achieve optimal Chi by directing, enhancing, or reducing the Chi to create the desired balance. We achieved this by positioning furniture correctly, lighting, plants, window coverings, colors, and many other ways.
